 我的研究 我目前的主要研究是國小數學遊戲的挑戰設計。在學校教育的過程中,個人之間的能力差異是無法避免的。在教室裡,當低能力的學生常常表現得比其他學生還不好時,他們就會在學習中覺得沮喪與受到挫折。雖然高能力的學生一直都表現得很好,但是他們所遇到的學習挑戰卻常常是太過容易,久而久之,他們也不會覺得學習很有趣。因此在學生的學習過程中,我們必須隨時調整適合學生能力的挑戰,來幫助學生投入到學習環境裡。

 我的研究 我主要研究興趣是悅趣化學習(game-based learning),目前著重於「動物同伴」和「寵物星球」的設計與探討。「動物同伴」延續學習同伴的概念,除了持續探討更多樣化的社會性互動角色之外,也加入照顧養成機制,引導學生藉著關懷與照顧動物同伴,培養關懷心與同理心。同時,這些不同個性的動物同伴,使用不同的方式協助他們的主人學習,透過與動物同伴相處,更有機會長期收集使用者的學習檔案,調整更適當的互動方式。「寵物星球」則進一步整合動物同伴和遊戲式網路學習社群,不僅是學生可以與自己的虛擬動物同伴互動,更可以與網路學習社群上其他動物同伴、甚是與真實學生互動,提供更多元、豐富、悅趣化的社會互動機會。

Yi-Chan Deng received his Ph.D. degree inComputer Science and Information Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan, in 2007. He is a Postdoc. in the Research Center for Science and Technology for Learning at the National Central University. His current research interests includeone-to-one digital learning environment, online learning community, mobile learning platform design and game-based learning.
